Overview
Studied Nutrition Science (BSc) Hons and Personalised Nutrition (MSc) based on a systems biology approach, a holistic and integrative method used to understand complex biological systems by analysing their interconnected components, rather than studying individual parts in isolation. It involved a deep emphasis on nutritional biochemistry, and the influence of nutrients and food components on cellular and molecular pathways involved in the pathophysiology of a wide range of chronic diseases using evidence-based pathophysiological reasoning. Clinical training involved being able to apply all this knowledge to four supervised clients experiencing a wide range of chronic health conditions to help ameliorate or prevent disease based on the Functional Medicine Model.

Why do a blood test?

Research suggests that men have a higher risk of developing CVD compared to women, and the risk of CVD in younger adult males, is also higher than equivalent females. The reality is that waiting until something goes wrong is not a strategy, it’s a risk. Prevention is always better than treatment, and small, proactive changes now can prevent years of suffering and medical expenses in the future.
Do you help with any cravings?
Absolutely! Quitting some dietary and lifestyle insults, are one of the most powerful steps a person can take to protect their long-term health, including skin health, but not every man may have the determination or know-how do it, nor have to give some of them up completely (I will explain the science and how to do it). Beyond physical health, quitting certain dietary and lifestyle insults also enhances energy levels, mental clarity, and overall well-being, leading to a longer, healthier, and more vibrant life. I have successfully help people stop or considerably reduce these behaviours using established mental reframing and goal setting techniques.
