OVERVIEW
Studied Nutrition Science (BSc) Hons and Personalised Nutrition (MSc) based on a systems biology approach, a holistic and integrative method used to understand complex biological systems by analysing their interconnected components, rather than studying individual parts in isolation. It involved a deep emphasis on nutritional biochemistry and disease prevention, and the influence of nutrients and food components on cellular and molecular pathways involved in the pathophysiology of a wide range of chronic diseases using evidence-based pathophysiological reasoning. Clinical training involved being able to apply all this knowledge to four supervised clients experiencing a wide range of chronic health conditions to help ameliorate or prevent disease based on the Functional Medicine Model. He is regulated by the British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), and complies with compulsory yearly Continued Professional Development. Hobbies include birdwatching, gym, photography, trekking, reading, football, cooking & baking healthy foods, coffee.
